So when this book comes out it moves to the bottom of my pile.  I am the reader that leaves the best for last when it comes to my stack.  I was not disappointed this week.

Since this series has started I’ve wanted to know more about Jeannette.  She seems like a really fun character, best example in this issue was how she demanded they take a limo cross country instead of the ice cream truck they picked up last issue.  Hands down the best part was the fact that we find out she’s a Banshee.  We finally know about he origin and how incredibly dark it is.  Also how she, being a banshee, is attracted to death and by proxy Deadshot, since he seems to do the most killing in the group.

I only had one issue with this book that could not be helped.  There was little Bane in the entire issue.  One of the best parts of this arc since it began was the fact that Bane was on the team.  My understanding is that he was introduced during the Birds of Prey stint that the Secret Six did, which I sorely need to read.

Also this issue brought back why I love this team so much, one of them will back stab everyone else at a moments notice.  The team royally gets screwed by one of their own.  Poor Catman gets hit with both a hand dryer and a limo.

Once again I love the art team on this book.  I remember when the second mini came out for the Secret Six I was really upset that they did not get back Dale Eaglesham to do the art work.  Honestly Nicola Scott makes me forget about how bad the art was in the last mini.  It’s great “comic book” style art and even though the new nitty gritty stuff of say Sean Phillips is great.  Sometimes I like to see some good old fashioned Comic Book artwork.

Now if only we could get the iFanboys to get this book and love it, we could see this pick up more steam here on the site.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. great review jm. you dont have to read the birds of prey tie in because bane was not introduce in the tie in. it was harley quinn. i hated the ending of this because it left the idea that they are breaking up the new dynamic duo. but the most fun and twisted image was rag doll under the car
