Now this is how you write a great one and done issue! Not to mention an actual .1 issue which was a good jumping on point unlike so many of the other shitty ones Marvel has put out. (Wolverine 5.1 is probably the only other one I’ve enjoyed)

I can’t express to you how pleased I was after finishing this issue and that they actually pulled off exactly the greatness that I was expecting out of this book right from the get go. The best part of it all is that Gabriel Hardman isn’t even the artist in this one which means that it’s only going to get better from here.

The things that make Remender a great writer I’ve found is his ability to be able to write a good team book which Uncanny X-Force is proof of. Even though this issue just had Hawkeye in it from the new team and Cap you get a taste of great witty banter and things that these characters are saying to each other and how they interact with one another that is special and important in a book like this. I found myself laughing out loud more then a few times in this issue, which set up the start of the teams new leader and had a fun covert mission which at the same time got us more in depth with our characters on a personal level.

If this is any indication on what’s to come then I have no doubt that this will be a fantastic run especially when the other characters are introduced to us next issue along with Hardmans art and I am happy once again to be able to be enjoying an Avengers title

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
