Well I was plenty excited to see what Steve Rogers is going to do when he isn't on a public Avengers team.  When I saw the cover I wanted to read even more when I realized that some former members of the Avengers will be in the fray once again. Of course this issue will be more pages than the rest (until an annual or anneversary issue comes).  The only reason for it was to demonstrate how everyone got in the team in the first place.  But, there were only two people who had some light to shed on how they got on the team which was the Ant Man that was formerly on the Thunderbolts & Moon Knight.  Since these two haven't been in any of the main Avengers teams (The New Avengers, Mighty Avengers Or Underground Avengers, the Initiative or West Coast don't count in my opinion) then I guess Brubaker wanted to show how they got involved in the first place.  I was surprised to see Nova affiliated with any Avengers team because of the fact that they didn't want to help him out when there was so many problems in the cosmic end of the Marvel universe.  It is also nice to see Rogers' love interest Sharon Carter in the book since I haven't seen her since Captain America Reborn.  I was also happy to see Beast involved with the Avengers with his current costume (except with the Avengers logo).  Brubaker has a way of drawing me in to the point where I not only want to get the next issue with all these good moments (Black Widow wondering where Valkyrie pulls her sword from, Nova approaching the crown which is like an Orange Power Battery with the ability to draw you like a Bug Zapper,  & Nick Fury as the hea dof the shadow council) but also I'm seriously considering buying his whole run on Captain America. 

Mike Deodato's art makes the pages of this look even better than I expected.  He knows how to make the characters all look great in here as well as upgrade the costumes of a few of them (Captain Rogers' now current outfit, Ant Man's Upgraded look, War Machine's movie ripoff armor, & Beast's updated costume).  I have no camplaints about how well he illustrated Ed Brubaker's ideas. 

The only thing is i have a few questions I want to throw out there to anyone:

1. How does Rhodey have a normal face again?

2. How can Characters like Valkyrie & Thor breathe in space?
