Geoff Johns has been writing some very imaginative Green Lantern stories for the last few years and I’ve started to take his work on the series for granted. His steady build toward the Darkest Night storyline has been full of interesting twists and turns, and this issue was no exception. What was new was the art by Philip Tan, which really took me by surprise. I hadn’t noticed that there was a different artist for this story until I opened the comic and saw the digitally painted artwork, and I had to check the credits to see who it was. I liked the change of pace for the art, and found the story to be the same top quality I’ve come to expect from this series. A very entertaining comic, and I can’t wait for the next issue!
