Roger Langridge is a name anyone who’s been on this site for some time should know. He was one of the creators behind the much beloved Thor: The Mighty Avenger, and he cut his chops on the Muppets before that. Regardless of your history with him, there is one thing that’s true: you should be reading his latest book.

Langridge is the perverbial double threat. He’s a writer and an artist. With his book Snarked!, Langridge demonstrates both these skills like a seasoned pro, crafting light hearted tales with some seriously good cartooning. What I find most enjoyable about this book is that I feel transported when I read it. I’m back to my eight year old self, reading comics on my bed, grinning the whole time. My brain seems to go to this place where the world seemed less complicated and a whole lot more fun. That’s what this book does for me. It’s a simple book with a simple story, but it’s charm and whimsy never fail to wrap my heart in a wonderful feeling. It’s a Disney movie on paper stock with still images.
