Reading back on my review of the previous issue, it’s obvious I was a bit harsh. After now reading the awful and no reason for existing comic of ‘Gotham City Sirens’ I see this in a brighter light. Well before I opened the issue that is…..Anyways I wanted to give this series one more time (3rd time the charm right?) Maybe there’s more to this comic then just Tim Drake being a jealous brat and being in Europe for no reason other then insane thoughts.

Sadly when I open the issue (told ya) I did not enjoy this yet again. I seriously have to ask Yost on whether we’re going to be dealing with a whiny Tim Drake the whole time. We can’t have him be jealous of Damien and be pissy at Dick (laugh) as the main reason for him being Red Robin. Hell even in this issue he’s still not calling himself Red Robin! Nor does he seem to take his costume seriously. How am I suppose to root for a character where even he doesn’t like his style of fashion? Other things just bug me about this too; mainly how Yost is just dropping the ball on the plot. He has this whole sequence where we learn Drake did get captured and went under the influence of Darkseid. That’s a great idea; I mean maybe the Anti-Life Equation somehow made him believe Bruce is still alive. Or just anything involving Darkseid will help him see that. Nope, that’s not what Yost does at all; it’s more of a throw away line then anything else. Why tell us this story about Final Crisis if it means nothing in the long run? Why am I also following this chick from Gotham? She’s just going to get turned down by Drake like what he’s done for three straight issues now.

Another big problem is the art for me on this. Ramon Bachs is just a standard artist and I could mistake him for a dozen others working for DC. There’s nothing special to note other then how sketchy and unfinished his work his. Maybe it’s the coloring but there are black dots all around the characters. Tiny little dots (not Kirby dots) that seem like the pen Bachs used that suddenly the ink exploded and he cleaned it up in a hurry. The art just seriously hurts my eyes and the problem is that there is good work here. It’s just that it’s too sketchy for me to see it.

Out of all the Batman: Reborn titles that have come out (excluding Batgirl cause I haven’t read it yet) this and Gotham City Sirens just feels pointless. Sirens is just pointless because Dini has had no real excuse for those girls to team up. This is just useless in a way that: There could be a good story/comic about Tim Drake. But obviously Yost is not the perfect choice to tell us a good comic. He just takes us around Europe with Tim with no other purpose then to find Bruce Wayne. It seems like it’s a inside joke in a lot of ways because technically Batman isn’t dead. But if it is a joke, then I’m not laughing.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 2 - Average
