Red Hood and the Outlaws #12 was very disappointing. I was worried that after Kenneth Rocafort left to go do pencils on Superman, this book would begin to suffer and Timothy Green II proved me right. The art just isn’t up to par. Green tries his best to do justice to the Outlaws, but you can clearly notice when the art just fails to impress. With colors still done by Blond you still see a glimmer of what used to be, but great coloring only gets you so far. The story even was uninteresting. Last issue I thought it was fun sci-fi. This issue that wasn’t rarely shown at all. Really it was just Starfire talking to everyone about how she thinks Rory is adorable. Then when eventually Blackfire joins the group all the book takes a different turn than what I was expecting. A guy at the comic book store dropped this book and he told me he thought it’d be more violent, but the book no longer interested him. I may be doing the same if this story doesn’t pick up soon.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 2 - Average
