Best Blackest Night cross-over yet.  R.E.B.E.L.S. has been consistently good (if you like thst sort of thing). Consistantly good week to week, making it a Blackest Night x-over did make me a bit apprehensive, but instead I loved it.

The Blackest Night stuff fit seemlessly into the larger story Bedard is telling here, actually making the book more enjoyable for having it.  Starro is still trying to conquer, but now mix in various shades of lanterns to spice it up.  The last couple pages finished the book off really strong, with Vril Dox being who he is to my enjoyment.

Andy Clark’s art is well suited for the high space adventure here.  Clark has an almost Kevin Maguire like ability to draw facial expressions.  Another in a long line of goodness from R.E.B.E.L.S.

Story: 4 - Very Good

  1. I agree with your review totally.  And Harbinger came back, I totally didn’t expect that!
