Either Eric Wallace was never informed what The Black Lanterns were before he wrote this comic, or I’m hella confused. This issue is essentially a What If about Osiris and Sobek coming back from the dead. Apart from seeing people’s emotions, however, they are unlike any black lantern in any other Blackest Night tie in. It’s almost as if Wallace had this weird resurrection story planned out, and decided to throw it into The Blackest Night series, because, hey, it’s about dead characters.
While a little cheesy, and simplisitc, it’s not a terrible story on its own merit, it just has no connection at all to the Blackest Night story. And if you’re just reading the tie-ins to keep abreast of the story, you can skip out on this issue entirely.
Don Kramer’s art is fantastic, though. I don’t recognize his name, but his style brings to mind a very thick-lined Mike Allred.

OK so far as it went, but more a continuation of 52 than PoS – apart from one page of the Batsons, it’s all Osiris.
