I think Judd Winnick knows he’s not going to live up to the first run on this title if he tries to follow in Team Palmiotti/Gray’s footsteps, so he takes Power Girl in a different direction here.  Giving us some insight on Generation Lost without losing the focus on Power Girl.

So, while it definitely feels like a different book with this new creative team, it still feels like a very good book.  Less emphasis on the humor, but it hasn’t vanished from the title.

The art here is also vastly different from Amanda Conner’s work, but it is equally as impressive.  I wasn’t familiar with Sami Basri, but I’m impressed.  I am absolutely on board for wherever this new team wants to take me.

  1. Great to hear–I’m really starting to like Power Girl through this comic, so I want to read more of her. 🙂

  2. awesome

  3. I agree that they did a agreat job of keeping the spirit of the book, without "trying" to be Palmiotti/Gray/Conner (which would not have worked).  I am quite glad to keep on buying this.
