This is a book I can't wait to read when I see it's coming out. The art works well to establish the feeling of the Planet of the Apes world. The story focuses on a few main apes and humans and is all about the time between the rise of the apes and the complete pacification and muting of all the humans as depicted in Planet of the Apes. Currently the story centers around the killing of a more moderate ape leader by a human that is part of a growing insurgency. The sense of dread is palpable, but as a longtime Apes fan I can't look away. A word of warning to anyone wanting to pick this up, there really is no good jumping on point, but we are only 7 issues in, and you know you've been looking for an excuse to try some more digital comics or dig around in the back issue bin.
