What do you get when you cross Deadpool, Frankencastle, and Kick-Ass?  As it turns out, a comic I have no interest in reading.

Stale humor with lots of swears to make it “badass” does not save this hollow story.  Throwing the word cocksuckers on the end of an action movie slogan does not make you “cutting edge”.  Casey appears to be trying to channel Millar here.  And Millar is uneven when he’s trying to be Millar lately.  Casey’s work here isn’t even as good as Nemesis.

Burnham’s art is great.  It looks a lot like the ultra violent issues of Invincible.  I just wish it was attached to a better story.

I don’t think I’ve ever rated a comic that split the goalposts before, but this is definitely a 1 star story, 5 star art book.
