Then…why the cover?  Ugh, that’s a really odd and off-putting decision- would rather have had this used on an appropriate issue.  Still look forward to reading it.

  2. Um….you must be some type of sorcerer….it hasnt come out yet!

Probably a preview copy.  I was wondering the same thing myself.  If this review isn’t correct, eh, I’m sure someone will take care of it.  First time I can remember seeing a review prior to Wednesday, though.  Still, a good review.

this cover business is starting to get to me… i was looking forward to the dark avengers vs the new avenger since i saw this cover in the dark reign preview book… and it didn’t fucking happen. well, la-di-da!

Great issue but I really didn’t like the thought bubble interlude during the battle. Some of the art was bad during that and going through each character got tedious. Love the Hood, best new character of the past five years. Really hope he is the new Sorcerer Supreme.

  10. Andrew Andrew says:

I think in this case the cover makes sense. The first half of the story makes the characters and the reader think this is a big show down, but it turns out Osborn knew what was up and played the New Avengers, building up further anticipation for a confrontation.

Typically I think a multi artist jam hurts the book, but this time it work wonderfully.
