It’s been a long time since I’ve picked up a comic and had no idea what to expect, having just read the preview blurb but not having any idea who the “Mystery Men” were, I was enticed by the cover treatment and the first few pages. And that feeling of satisfaction you get when taking a chance with a book and having it come through really is something special. This book really hit the spot for me, it had pulp, noir, and mixed in a dash of superhero action.

The art is also quite nice, mixing clean lines with a muted color palette really brings out the atmosphere of the best noir films.

I took a chance with a book by two creators who I’ve never heard of and it really paid off, I have high hopes for the rest of the series and can’t wait to see what happens
