I gotta admit, the recent ifanboy podcast made this decision for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Muppets. We need more Muppets in our lives, or just more Gonzo; either way I’d be happy. Anyways their video on kid comics made me wanna try this series out. I also like Roger Landridge and anything he usually does can be really funny. So Landridge and the Muppets together? Even if it’s a kids book it has to be good.

Not to be so serious, I mean why should I be for a Muppets comic? But still…..I think this is a great nostalgia comic for anyone loving the Muppets as a kid. I really don’t see this as a kids comic for today’s generation. Cause there is a lot to read here and the jokes…..well they aren’t really slapstick or kiddy are they? Ron is right, Muppets work for any age whether your a kid or adult. But I think in print form it loses all of it’s aura for children. Cause what kid is honestly going to get gambling or understand what Miss Piggy is saying?

Again I quite enjoyed it, cause it reminded me of my childhood. But as a comic just aimed for kids, I don’t see it quite working. Muppets seem to be more visual humor more then anything else. If we saw this comic in a TV or film format, then I think all kids would love it. But as a whole for a comic book I think they are going to get lost really quickly.

Except for that Fozzy short in the back, that is pure hilarity.
