Man did I want to like this book.  While reading Muppet Robin hood all I could think was, “This needs to be a direct to DVD at the very least.”  Oddly I am a person that’s really good with imagining and hearing voices in my head.  I mean for the last 15 years Kevin Conroy has been Batman in my head when I read anything with Batman in it.

But this book I just couldn’t jive with it.  For my brain to wrap around Muppets I need to see them in action.  Don’t get me wrong the story of this book was good and the art was amazing.  Something I thoroughly enjoyed in this book was the fact the horse that Robin was riding had some great emotions.  All of this was done through the eyes of the horse as that’s about all you could see.  I’m sure most Muppet fans will thoroughly enjoy it, in fact I would recommend it to my other friends who love the Muppets, but alas I wish to watch this not read it.

Something I want to go out of my way to mention is that this book is not printed on glossy paper.  This is not a bad thing, because it carries that beloved 2.99 price tag, which we’re seeing less and less.  In fact I’m willing to give this book another try as long as I watch some Muppets before hand because it has the 2.99 price tag.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
