I know there is Wolverine exhaustion, I'm suffering from it too, especially since the movie was so traumatic. It would seem that this would be a rather inopportune time to pick up a title featuring the hairy Canadian.Well Wolverine: Weapon X makes a good argument for inclusion on the pull list of any fan, but there are a few hiccups.

First, the good. The writing for this title is nice. Really nice. Wolvie's voices is clear and enjoyable, Aaron has an affinity for Logan, that much is obvious. The action is fun and fast paced, not skimping on the blood or aggression.

And now, the not-so-good: The art looks sometimes-good, sometimes-adequate and other times rushed. The design of the bad-guys looks like they were cut from any "average bad guy wearing kevlar" The lines are indistinct and the coloring in this title is muddy and dark when in the jungle.

Ultimately the title just doesn't give a convincing case for its existence. Why are we following Logan on this journey anyway? I guess he feels responsible for the particular kind of bad guy that is resultant of the same process he himself underwent? I hate to have to bring it up, but this is one of Marvel's higher priced books, and instead of delivering something extra, it delivers something merely average. Perhaps, if it was truly necessary to tell this story, they creative team would have better served us, the comic community, by waiting until the end of Old Man Logan, and then including it in the current main Wolverine title.
