Oh Spidey if you were a girl you'd be called a slut, but since you are a guy you'd be called the "Man!!!" The main story is definitely a whole lot of fun with Spidey stumbling and bumbling through his messed up life, but in this one case Joe Kelly has done something wonderful. He lets Spidey know that he's doing the irresponsible, and this is going to end up like New Orleans after Katrina type mess. Yet he lets him enjoy it, nay revel in the glory of letting himself enjoy a doomed relationship. If only I can be this lucky!
Another great feature of this issue and the last issue is the return to solving mysteries that really don't have any involvement with his personal life except for getting hooked up the Black Cat. I think if we could hear Peter Parker throw a line or two about the situation it would go something like this:
Peter: So I have a mystery to solve.
Joe K: Yes
Peter: Does it involve my clone?
Joe K: No
Peter: Does it have anything to do with Norman Osborn?
Joe K: Do I look like a short bald Jewish guy who enjoys crossovers, Please.
Peter: Anything to do with Aunt May getting shacked up and I walk in the middle of it?
Joe K: Hell no, once is already too emotionally scarring.
Peter: But I get to hook up with Black Cat?
Joe K: Who loves you baby?
Peter: Can I kiss your ring, wash your car, toss your salad?
Joe K: Yes, yes, you sick bastard.
The only minor weak point which might be something great later but we don't know is the subplot with the little Ms. Kraven contacting Diablo. I'm guessing that we are going to get a Sinister Six situation at some point, but because the stops and starts with the sub plot I haven't really cared about it yet.

Just because Peter Parker has a whole bunch of women in his life, doesn't mean he ever actually scores with them. I think Michelle Gonzales is the first chick I ever seen him wake up naked next to, I'm sure he scored with Mary Jane though.
