Amen--this felt more like the Red Hulk title I dropped like a sack of hammers than anything to do with Ultimate Hulk.

Bendis did Ultimatize the Wrecking Crew in the pages of Ult. Spiderman.  They cleaned up Roxxon after the first Spidey Omega Red fight.  They weren't bad guys they just did a job and happen to have superpowers.  I thought it was genius.  Loeb has done this with Ultimates where he doesn't even write Ult. characters even existing ones he just turns them into 616 characters for no reason at all.  Ult. Thor, Valkryie, and Brotherhood for examples.

I think it was actually Damage Control Inc. that cleaned up in Ult. Spidey, not the wrecking crew.  That has been the most agrivating thing about Loeb's run.  I would think an editor would sit him down with some charts and stuff and say "see, Jeph, this is Ultimate Hulk, and this is the regular Marvel Hulk.  One is kinda dumb and angry, but also has a sweet heart and wants to protect people.  The other big big and angry and horny and likes to eat people after he pounds them into mush."  Hell, even Bendis writes Reg Spidey and Ult Spidey with slight diffrences.
