Wow, I wish our history channel ran specials on Hydra. Fantasy specials aside, this issue is a good "get the gang together" issue.
    We get an explanation as to why it seemed like we were looking at the ultimate Nick Fury. While I do think this is a great tactic for Fury, gathering up heroes no one knows about, isn't it a little convenient they all have manifested their powers for the first time in the past week? Some of them even right before our eyes?
    I'm sure I won't be alone in the disappointment in the total lack of Captain America or skrulls anywhere in the issue, despite what the cover would lead you to believe. I did like the use of mostly existing characters, save one. Please pardon my language, BUT WHERE THE F-ING F F-FACE DID LAYLA COME FROM? If I missed some clue as to when she cam back from the future she got stuck/blown up in please let me know and I will express my apologies to everyone... but I don't think I did.
    Don't get me wrong, I love having Layla back in play, she is a great character. But I think inserting a character from X-factor into Mighty Avengers is stretching cross promotion a little much. Especially since she isn't even in X-factor currently.
    I am interested in the next issue though. I like Nick Fury having to build a team from the ground up and hopefully they actually make an impact. My guess though? Most of these characters will either be dead or irrelevant by the end of the arc. Hopefully I'm wrong.
