I’m not really surprised that there aren’t many people picking this up.  Not because it’s not good, but because it has a story about mice.  Mice may seem to be childish, but I assure you there is nothing childish about this book.  These are battle mice, which Oeming is drawing at his best.  This tale has violence, a chosen one, several interesting characters, a fierce and evil adversary, and a kick ass medieval/magic/mystical feel.  If you’re wanting to start getting into the lesser known books and you like Oeming’s art, then this may be a book that you want to pick up.  I’m grateful to have been turned on to this.
