This issue features two done-in-one stories, the first featuring Captain America and Doctor Strange, the second featuring The Hulk.

Neither story has time for a lot of set-up ad the are very compressed, and I find that a refreshing change-of-pace. Both stories might have been able to be stretched into full-issue stories, but neither really needed to. Both got the job done right in the short page counts they were allotted.

The characters shine in these stories, especially Cap and Bruce Banner.

The art is solid in both tales, though there are some minor flaws here and there, IMO.

If you like fast, entertaining fare and have a spare $3 this week, try this comic.

And it would make a super sticking stuffer for a comic fan of any age.

  1. The second paragraph’s first sentence should read “Neither story has time for a lot of set-up and they are very compressed, and I find that a refreshing change-of-pace’.

  2. I’ve been tempted to get these for a bit of more lightweight, fun stories instead of the normal doom and gloom of the Marvel universe.

    • That is EXACTLY why this title, Marvel Avengers Spider-Man and the DC all-ages titles like Young Justice and Bztmazn the Brave and the Bold are monthly buys for me.

Fun, light fare that seldom disappoints.

  3. Heh – wife distracted me. “Batman’ – skip the “z”‘s.
