I do appreciate a comic with an ironic title.  This comic begins with two pages of a kid in school, and then throws you into a scifi hybrid of magic and alien invasions.  I applaud the idea behind throwing a reader into a story in the middle of the action, but the story lost me almost instantly.  I stuck with it because I was enjoying the hybrid of American manga pencils and an almost Dynamite Comics color scheme.  But the story was improbable to follow.  It doesn’t help that there were a lot of references to “third eyes” which, coming from a background in performance poetry, is a term that turns me off completely.

If you’re a fan of magic titles, this one might be for you, as there were lots of icons representing spells, and word like “pendragon” and “mages”.  But I don’t see this crossing over for non-magic loving comic fans.
