It was the “From the writer of Locke & Key” banner that enticed me to pick this issue up.  It’s a one shot story of a man telling two children about how he came to have been mauled by a bear.  It’s well told, and Nat Jones’s art was perfect for it, but it just didn’t excite me in any way.  There was no time to really get to know the characters, and the action scene was too quick.  I could see this as a fun story in DC’s House Of Mystery, but on its own, it’s kind of lackluster.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
