This book was good, but nothing spectacular.  I was hoping for a more contained story then what I got in this trade.  The story itself is about Dave Sloan who has been chosen as “The One”, a person who can see deamons and it out to kill him.  What this book plays with is is he insane or is this truly divine intervention.  While the book sorts it out for us the reader which is correct, we are stuck with Dave debating this difference through the end.  There were some defiante characters that could have been fleshed out more and found some of those characters to be silly.  While I know this is supposed to be a comedy/horror book I really did not find them funny just silly as I had mentioned before.  The art is fine and serviceable and fits the tone of the cartoonish violence and the goofy characters that populate this universe.  There was nothing that made it stand out or make it hard to follow the story.  Overall, there was nothing that made it stand out from other things this week and will not be picking up volume two if there is one.
