get it out of you.
Send them home with blisters,
send them home with truth.

This was my pick of the week for two reasons and two reasons only. First of all it didn’t give me anything I didn’t want and what I mean by that is this issue read like a true sequel to the original. Just like the very first issue of Kick-Ass it had a few flash forwards and a few mentions of things to come, but mostly it’s about a kid realizing that after years of trying to fit in, he doesn’t need to try anymore, he just has to be himself and as he says in the book, he’s getting pretty good at it.
The second thing this book had was John Romita Jr. on art. I know the issue says he just did the breakdowns but you could have fooled me. Romita can do breakdowns with this team until the undead rise for all I care because this shit right here, this shit is beautiful.
I wasn’t sure the magic would return if the sequel came this soon after the movie but I must be a sucker cause Millar and Romita have hooked me again, lateness be damned.

Story: 5 - Excellent
