Some of the New 52 titles grabbed me with issue 1 and have been great reads each and every issue.

Other titles, JLI included, have built issue after issue, with each issue getting a little better to me.

That said, I think issue 5 of JLI was the best of the current run so far.

That is not to say this is a perfect comic; some characters on the team had very little to do all arc long, some of the dialogue was so-so in spots, and the pacing dragged just a little bit in the first issue or so.

As most fans of this book say, JLI has a retro-vibe that makes this a pretty fun comic. And while no one seems 100% pleased with the line-up of the team, who is to say any one member will stay for too long and more members won’t be brought in?

To me, a decent arc (3.5 for writing and 4 or so for the art for the entire arc), and I look forward to the next issue already.
