1at off Element Woman is not in this comic. What is in this comic is awesome Jim Lee art. Last time Lee’s art was muddied by numerous inkers and colorists and there are still 2 inkers and 2 colorist’s on this issue but Lee’s art fights through that to really shine. His famous splash pages of someone getting punched in the face are here and Wonder Woman being in the spotlight is another plus. This arc has been like an episode of Law & Order (or any other show on USA Network) and I was getting kinda bored. Geoff Johns caught my attention again with the soap opera esque scenes of Wonder Woman talking to Tracy Trevor. The end of this issue may kill some fans, but that cliffhanger was very emotional. On to SHAZAM! Billy Batson is slowly evolving from grade A douche to a somewhat likable kid. He and Freddy are about to get sweet sweet revenge on those jerks from last issue when they’re caught by said jerks. A guy with crutches isn’t making a clean getaway and I thought Billy’s solution to this problem was funny and thoughtful. Next issue we’ll see the New 52 debut of Captain Mar-SHAZAM! and it’s about f’n time. Bring on the lighting!

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
