Justice League #1 definitely hits the ground running, as a kick off to the New 52, it’s definitely a good introduction to the universe for both old readers and new. The interplay between Batman and Green Lantern in this issue is certainly the highlight, but the writing overall feels a little Rushed, especially for Geoff Johns, who’s always been sort of a slow burn writer in my opinion. The weak part of this issue for me was the sequence with Cyborg, not because I don’t like the character, but it seems out of place, and if I was one of these “New Readers” DC was trying to cultivate I would be very confused by the whole thing. Jim Lee’s art is unsurprisingly great, and Scott William’s inks are a treat as always, overall, a solid issue, I’d just like to see the story improve throughout the arc.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
