Well this trade collects JSA #1100-1300, which continues the 2,000 part epic of the ‘Gog’ storyline.

Okay no, there is not that many issues in this whole run by Johns. But damn it sure feels like it a lot of the time. Thankfully, these issues are more the prelude of ‘One World Under Gog’ and all of those one-shots, so the story is not as convoluted yet. This trade is a lot of fun, this is where Johns stops with introducing members (most of the time) and goes on with the Heartbreak Slayer and Gog storyline. Johns is at the top of his game during this run; some of the best moments, jokes, and fights happen in this trade.

Dave Eaglesham and Ruy Jose (although I dont know what the latter did in this run) is also on the top of their game. There should be a special award for Eaglesham for this title, only because he gets a lot of crap work to do. Johns sorta forces him to go all out in every issue, and I’m sure it’s hard to put in (what feels like) hundreds of characters in every panel.

Your not going to find a better DC title out there then this. Okay that’s a lie, but still it is one of the best comics out there right now. It’s a bit of a watershed moment since Geoff Johns just annouced he’s off this title by issue 26. So if your looking for a gream team book, look no further then all of the issues from past, present, and future by Geoff Johns on JSA.
