It’s amazing to me that my favorite Marvel title right now is JIM and not even a JIM with Thor as the main character!

I think that the magic of this title is the way the Gillen’s scripts focus on Loki, but at the same time shine light on the land and people of Asgard. I feel as if I’m getting to know Asgard and the Asgardians better than I even did by reading any Thor book. (Granted I’m not widely read in Thor. Just Oeming’s Disassembled run, JMS’s run & Fraction’s current stuff)

Loki as the lead seems to almost be a self-generating story source. He’s unpredictable, scheming, and immature, but somehow I find myself rooting for him.

Braithwaite is missed on this title. Portacio is growing on me, but he’s far from is glory days on X-Factor & Uncanny X-Men. What I really wish is that they would bring Ferry over from Thor to this title.

Overall, if you have any interest in bedcoming engrossed in the world of Asgard, this is the book you should be reading.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
