I bought his issue based on the Chris Roberson podcast interview, and liking Mike and Laura Allred’s work in the past. I read the preview last month and wasn’t sure, but I am glad I bought it.

 The creators have introduced a cast of interesting people, and some fun ideas to play around. Mike’s graphic style is great as always, great use of clarity and information though each panel. The standout is Laura’s coloring in this book,whew!!! She creates colors which give characters soft forms to people,and creates an atmosphere, and space. Her colors depicted an area, which I took a guess at when I broke down and quickly skimmed through the comic.  

It’s a fun read, and at $1, it worth picking up without feeling any guilt because of a budget.
