The past couple of issues for this series have been really disappointing.  I feel like Fraction is taking up too much time trying to set every piece of Tony’s life in order, and not spending enough time with the villain at hand.  I mean, I know that the Hammer’s are rotten people who set up the attack that happened in Japan last issue because it was told to me.  But a guy as smart and experienced as Tony should see it too. Even though he might, there’s not real indication that he’s busy outsmarting the villains.  Instead, he’s a fumbling boss and a bozo superhero.  I was in love with the series at issue 20, but now, in the midst of the Resilient storyline, I think I might be on my way out.  Fraction has managed to make this series kind of boring, and completely take away what makes Tony so great.  I want him to be one of those 5 steps ahead of everyone else kind of guys, especially with his recent claims of his enhanced intellect.  So far, I’m just not seeing it.   Also, LaRocca’s art was not that good this issue, probably because there was so much talking and not enough action.
