This series may only be two issues in, but I must say it’s my favorite book of the year so far. The world that Nick Spencer and Christian Ward have created is so full and well developed and it amazes me that they’ve made such an advanced concept so simple and understandable. I dont read very many books on a monthly schedule, and thats primarily because I dont have the best memory for these things, and I almost always forget the entirety of the pervious issue by the time the next one rolls around. I think it’s a testament to how well the book is written that I was able to completly remember the story, and have no problem immursing myself back into this world, even when this issue took three months to come out. In this issue, we get a sense of where this series is really going to go, and it lives up to the premises of the book. That was one concern I had with the first issue, is that Spencer would be able to create this amazing concept, but not have a good story to go with it. That was wrong however, as I’m much looking forward to where this story goes, and just what is going on with these characters. The art was just as good as the first issue, and there were several outstanding moments. The main one that stands out in my mind is the two page spread of Claire’s speech. That was absolutly stunning from both a storytelling and artistic perspective. One last thing I would like to comment about in this review is the use of the photo pages. They worked amazingly well in the first issue, but, going in to this issue, I thought that if there were to be any then they wouldnt have the same effect because they audience wouldn’t be surprised by them. I was wrong however, as I think these pages had the same effect, and that these are effective pages that show us parts of the story and background of Infinite Vacation that couldnt be told as easily within the comic pages itself. So in all, it was an amazing issue, and I truly cant wait for the next issue.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
