This is a fun comic book.

That’s all I should say when it comes to this series. It’s fun and entertaining, and anyother synonyms that go with those two words. What I like about this series most of all; you don’t really need to read the previous arcs to get up to speed with it. Now that’s not saying you shouldn’t read the previous trades of this series. It’s just that Pak and Van Lente do a great job summing up the stories in the recap pages or in the issue itself.

I’ve been reviewing this series for months….and it’s hard to think of more things to talk about. But what I can say is that this series contains, most likely, the funniest issue of the year. Herc #122 contains some of the funniest sight gags, slapstick humor, and overall great sound effects. Once again I must commend either the artist or the letterer for the best sound effect since ‘EPA!’ That would be, ladies and gentlemen:

‘CRAKKAJAMMA!’

Hilarious….simply hilarious. If anyone hasnt tried this out, and I know a lot of people havent….please I urge you to give this a try. This isnt a set up arc like the one with Ares, or mixing it up with a Marvel event. It’s the first full Herc/Cho story without anything bothering it. Clearly, this series can be one of the best (literally top 5) Marvel books if Pak/Lente is allowed to do more original stories.
