My head hurts.

I forgot how complex Cho can be with his intelligence. Considering this has been a Greek filled story for almost two years now; this change in direction is a bit jarring. The title is now flipping back and forth between Cho’s adventures and Herc’s journey. Will Cho’s amazing adventures be enough to keep interest with the book?

Yes and more yes. I know I said my head hurts but this is still a pretty soild comic. Maybe not as comical as it usually is, but that’s because the comic relief is gone right now. Cho is just trying to find the truth about his parents murder and where his sister might be. He ends up in the town of Excello and apparently it was burned to the ground. But apparently no one told Amadeus cause now he’s stuck in a ‘The Prisoner’ type of setting. Getting knocked out repeately and a sinister force is in the works. This comic was most set up to get us into why Amadeus is on his own in the first place. But it was still an interesting read even without some comical moments.

The art by Buchemi is pretty good. The backgrounds are gorgeous to look at whether it’s a desert backdrop or the 1960’s like locale of Excello. It kinda has a manga side quality to it at points, especially with the eyes at points. If anyone remembers the origin issue in #126 and read Cho’s/Banner’s story in that and you liked the art….Then you’ll like this issue.

In two weeks we’re back to Herc and chibi Zeus’s adventure in Norse mythology. However this mini storyarc with Cho is just as interesting as the latter. It’s kinda different then how Vente and Pak write Hercules; but this is still a great title to pick up issue after issue.

Story: 4 - Very Good

  1. I jumped back on issues for two reasons.

I’ve loved this book since #126 and Agents of Atlas are going to be in as a backup.

Glad to hear this issue was good.
