That’s it!? You’re telling me that we spent three issues of more set up, over top another eight issues of set up!? I gotta wait how long for ‘The Fury’ to see some type of advancement in the story?

Absolutely ridiculous. You could’ve done this entire mini in one issue and then continue the rest of it with the other two issues. I don’t know what the hell is up with Mike Mignola and pacing but they obviously don’t get along.

We spent all of this time with revelations, the sword, the Pig/Troll monster’s revenge, the Blood Queen (still have no idea what is up with her) and all of it gets pretty much thrown away by the time the halfway mark hits? Bullshit. Again if this and Wild Hunt was condensed into one mini series then I wouldn’t be so pissed off. But Mignola pretty much took leftovers from Wild Hunt, stretched it out into three issues, and still has no resolution in sight.

I feel bad not talking about the art but you know by now it’s gorgeous. Duncan Fegredo and Guy Davis? You know what you’re gonna get out of them. It’s the story that absolutely pisses me off to no end about it. But damn for Mignola because the threads he has left opened for almost two years now are too interesting to stop. Besides, it’s gonna be MONTHS (maybe even a full year) before we get the ‘resolution’ of this story. So might as well just wait it out and make it feel like I’m dropping Hellboy.

Basically at the end of the day, when the one-shots bring more entertainment then the ongoing adventures of Hellboy; then you have a problem. Just a waste of money buying in issues. Just wait for the trade with this story…..or skip it all together! Other then one peice of information you aren’t missing out anything with this story.
