This is good ole WWII era pulp action featuring GI’s, Nazis, Dinosaurs, spies, and Ninjas. So far. And it’s only issue one. It’s the set up issue so it’s kind of hard to judge the overall plotting, but the storytelling through the art is excellent. Stephen Mooney is the sole creator and I’d say he’s firmly in the tradition of Mark Schultz and Dave Stevens as writer/artists evoking bygone eras in comics for their style and atmosphere. Fans of Indiana Jones, Xenozoic Tales, and the Rocketeer will find plenty of slam bang action on display. Judging by the pull numbers at the time I write this on the Wednesday of release, I think more Ifanboy readers should check this out.
