My only problem with this issue is that you spend the entire time getting to the image on the cover.  The whole “Parallax Rebirth” shouldn’t have been put on the cover until the next issue.  (And don’t tell me to put this under a spoiler warning the f*n cover says “Parallax Rebirth”.

If you were to rip the cover off, and just read this as an issue of Green Lantern, it’s great.  A virtual kaleidoscope of lanterns dancing around to fight The Spectre, and nobody really trusts anyone else around them. Mahnke’s one and two page spreads are a mostly satisfying homage to how big an event this is (though the two page spread of Parallax doesn’t do anything for me).

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. Since the cover (that I see on the iFanboy site) doesn’t say "Parallax Rebirth," I would go ahead and put a spoiler warning on it. It does however say "Spectre Rebirth," which is a different character than Parallax.

So it’s one of two things then: either you are mistaking the characters of Spectre and Parallax OR you are spoiling the issue by not putting up a spoiler warning?

  2. Nope, the cover on the shelves say Parralax Rebirth.

  3. Yeah, but you posted your review before the issues hit the stands on the East coast of the USA. So that still constitutes as a spoiler.

  4. It’s not a spoiler.

  5. that,on the cover, is clearly Parallax. The cover itself, without the texts, is a spoiler.

The only thing that is in the book is how and why it happened. and akamuu didn’t say any detaills about that.
