I said in my review of The Blackes Night #4 that this was a great week for this crossover, and this issue is a huge part of that.  Johns puts each color of the spectrum in context in this issue.  Finally, we know exactly what the power struggle is going to be (though, let’s assume there will be a twist and/or double cross or two), and how Jordan is going to try and get everyone to support him.

Mahnke’s lanterns are often unsettling in all the right ways.  The only thing that feels out of place in this issue was Hal Jordan’s face.  The jaw lines and other face hatching just didn’t gel for me.  But everything else was top notch.
