Oh cruel irony – after two okay issues this book is back and firing on all cylinders, just as Lemire announces he’s leaving, but enough of that.

This issue gave me more of the commandos and each of them had a time to shine, the scene in the armoury between the vampire and werewolf was great. Their dialogue a pure joy to read. Lemire’s filled this series with so many fun ideas the next writer won’t know where to start. It’s all gold.

The art seemed cleaner this issue, it wasn’t as sketchy, but I still liked it. I suppose it worked as this issue took place in the clinical Ant Farm, rather than Veitnam or the monster planet like previous issues.

Overall a great read, and I am really liking that there is no overall arc, but each story feeds into the next.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. Still enjoying this somewhat also. Mostly just for the goofiness. So outta here once Lemire leaves.
