With this series coming to a close this issue, I can’t help but feel like it improved with each and every issue.  Now, this series isn’t as magical as the Flashpoint: Batman or Flashpoint: Superman (which, to me, are the two strongest minis), but this series delivers a solid tale of pirating that includes damsels, explosion, and mutiny.  This issue, in particular, brings the whole series together.  The first two issues seemed as if the story could have gone on longer with the way that it was paced, but Palmiotti manages to tie up all the loose ends without everything feeling overly rushed.  While the conclusion to the story didn’t provide any stunning revelations, I felt satisfied when I put the issue down, and I was glad that I stuck around to see how it ended.  The art is solid throughout the issue although I can’t pinpoint anything that overly special about it.  As it stands, the art was serviceable, and it did a nice job of delivering the story in a clear manner.  There were a couple pages that looked rushed, and it’s hard to tell whether it was the pencils, the inks, the colors, or a combination of the three that lead to the look.  It’s very brief, and it wasn’t too distracting for me.  Overall, I would say that this was one of the more solid minis that I’ve read, and fans of the character or high seas adventuring would find something to like in it.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
