FLASH #237

The downward spiral that began with the end of Marc Guggeheim’s run and the beginning of Mark Waid’s run continues.  This issue was HORRIBLE.  The story was completely uninteresting as it had Wally reflecting about his kids and his new life.  Apparently, it makes you stupid and forgetful.  Add that to the fact that the story going on makes very little sense with a villain that doesn’t make any sense, and I was completely lost as to why I spent my money on this issue.

The art was also very bad, leaving me scratching my head as to how certain parts of the story were meant to flow.  Some of the faces looked like they had been drawn looking through a fish eye lenses, being completely over stretched and disproportioned.

I’m on the cusp of dropping this book, but seeing that yet another new team is coming, I’m going to buy just one more issue to see if I dig it.  Ever since the death of Bart Allen, this book has looking like it needs to die too.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 1 - Poor

  1. New team?  I haven’t heard about that yet!  Who is it?

  2. I believe it’s Tom Peyer on writing duties and Freddie Williams II on pencils.

    …I’m like 90% sure that that’s correct.
