It’s not everyday that you see a throwbacky effort that attempts to recapture the magic of the Sienkiewicz/Janson/Chaykin-type days of comics in the 1980s, but these upstart creators do exactly that. The Frank J. Barbiere story is pulpy as hell and delightful, and Chris Mooneyham art conjures up a wonderful mid-1980s Epic Comic that was never made, right on down to the coloring. The plot is some fine hokum about a man possessed by five distinct spirits which grant him myriad abilities — but it’s the adventure and aesthetic that should get you onboard.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
