   I’d recommend reading the entirety of the series for things like the bullet to make sense. I re-read all the previous issues every time one came out and it definitely helped. The beams were, I think, the Omega beams that Darkseid shoots from his eyes. I’m usually one that read Morrison’s stuff and think "Really?" but he hit a solid double up the middle with R.I.P and quite the home run with Final Crisis so far.

   Oh well, I’m just glad that it is all over finally.  I think it would have been much cooler if Batman was killed by Ras Al Ghul or the Joker in an issue of Batman or Detective, but he is dead now nonetheless.  Bring on Battle For the Cowl!!  Hopefully that story will make sense to people who just wanna read their Batman titles and don’t feel like spending a ton of extra money on goofy crossover stories that don’t interest me none whatsoever.  Sometimes I wish Batman would die in the DC Universe and comeback to life in Vertigo where he doesn’t have to be connected to all the other superfriends anymore.  That would be so awesome!
