  1. Great review. Significantly better review than I could have written after being dumbed down by this series.

    • Thank you. I feel like a masochist buying this, like I’ve punched myself in my left eye to match the bruise on the right and complete the set.

  2. this was probably one of the worst “mega-events” i have ever read

    • I can’t think of a worse one myself. There have been some utter messes but usually it was due to pacing or it spiralling out of control, not that there just wasn’t anything in it worthwhile. There wasn’t a story beyond bullet points.

  3. Immonen saves any redeeming quality for this series, that’s for sure. I think all of the heart in this event was in Home Front, and all of the character was in Journey Into Mystery with young Loki. This is my farewell to Marvel as I am uninterested in the direction of the universe, the creative teams involved, and the price point for their books. I’ll be back, but not any time soon.
