When the first issue came out, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.  I went back and read some of The Black Panther issues that led up to it, and determined that I enjoyed the series a lot more if I pretended there was no back story, and it was as if The Black Panther 1 & 2 showed up during an issue of Uncanny X-Men, and it’s the first time we’ve encountered them.

This issue shrank on me a little.  It’s still, technically, very good, but the surprise factor is gone, and now it’s just a pretty good self-contained cross-over event with Dr. Doom. Dr. Doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom.
