The convention of writing a fluid story that hops back and forth between two eras is a difficult one to achieve.  I’m glad, in the last two issues, that David Baron on colors was able to help Visine Rucka’s vision.

I’m also excited that this arc is over, and wonder where they plan to go next.

  1. Yeah, this arc was a stinker.  The first two were so awesome.  This was such a let down!!

  2. Worse than the first two arcs, but I think evaluated on its own it was okay.

Not only was the hopping back and forth a bit awkward, but I don’t think the Batman story even made sense on its own; like, I struggle to understand what made Bruce go from one location to the next. Still, I think Rucka’s good characterization stuff kind of made up for the poor, needlessly convoluted plotting.
