I found the art in this issue generally solid, but with some significant highs and lows. I really like the way Jock draws Jim Gordon. Therefore, I love the entire fourth page. Unfortunately, I really dislike the art on the page where Batwoman puts her cape over “Cutter’s” head. Batman looks especially odd in that first panel.

The story was fun. I typically enjoy parallel storytelling when it is executed at a high level, as it is here. I look forward to reading more of Mr. Rucka’s Batwoman stories.

I love the work of JH Williams III, but this cover really highlights the one problem I have with his Batwoman. Look at her chest. That’s just too much nipple for me. I guess she’s using those the same way Batman used the yellow oval (or Robin’s entire costume).

Thank you sincerely for your time,
Chris Clark

  1. Why, oh why don’t my paragraph breaks show up when I post reviews on this site??  I blame Chrome.

  2. That happened to me too… it sucks. And I don’t think Batwoman wears a bra… the suit provides all the support she needs but no nipple coverage oh well. LOL

  3. @GLNancy – It seems like she would need some kind of protection.  Nipple tape?
