YES!!  The best Batman comic I’ve read since RIP concluded!!  You know what?  Actually, I would have to say, this is the best Bat-book since Heart of Hush concluded in Detective Comics #850!!  Grant’s run was okay, but the final issue in his RIP story, just didn’t live up to all the hype.  I’m so glad to finally see some Catwoman.  Now that is a classic Bat-villian.  I’m even kind of happy to see Hush.  Even though he looks more like Bruce now, but whatever.  I don’t know what all this Hush bashing is about.  Hush brings much more appeal to a story then some Lump, or any of Darkseids minions.  I didn’t really enjoy that Two Face look alike either.  STUPID.
I can’t wait to see where this story goes, even if it is only going to go on for one more issue. The Last Rites/Final Crisis stories were so lame!!  Not totally ASS, but Lame.  Very lame.  And I expected a lot more for Denny O’Neil also.
Paul Dini doesn’t seem to let me down very often though.  I can’t think of a time that the Detective series has been better since he picked up the writing chores back in issue #800 & 20-something (I think).  I had to go out and get Private Casebook because I was kind of incarserated when most of those original issues were on newstands.  I absolutely loved Heart of Hush and I still think it was the better R.I.P. story, and he seems to be leading the pack in dispensing Batman and Bat-related stories now too.  I kind of wish he would take over writing Batman Confidential when they got somebody else writing Detective for some dumb reason.
Let us all hope that Paul sticks around and just happens to comeback to doing the scripts for Detective after this Reign of the Batmen (oopps, I meant to say Battle For The Cowl) is over!!
